Pyrolysis plant TDP and Capstone microturbines installation as a part of WTE project have been tested successfully
Section: NewsWaste-to-energy project based on pyrolysis plant TDP-2-200 and microturbine power station Capstone passed the first test at the end of July, 2016. It was decided to test the raw material in the presence of a potential customer. This joint installation was implemented as a part of a global project — free-running generator to convert the waste into electricity.
Chicken manure was used as a feedstock for testing as it is high-calorific and concentrated organic type of waste as well as the most promising one to extract the secondary resource from this waste — heat and electricity.
Up to 200 kg of raw materials was carried out as a full batch load. The pyrolysis gas, obtained during successful processing of waste, was sent to the microturbine power plant. It’s managed to reach the maximum score for the generation of electric power at Capstone C30 system — 32KW/h. The extracted solids were sent for further laboratory studies.
